What Time Will You Show up to My Wedding?
We arrive two hours early for a few reasons: traffic, weather, setup, and meeting with vendors. Be wary of DJs who say they will show up less than an hour before your wedding.
Can You DJ for My Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, & Reception?
Yes. We have additional sound systems and also provide customized planning materials to assist you.
Do You Back Yourself up in Case of an Emergency?
Absolutely. We network with the area’s finest DJs and trade schedules with them. Because we’re a member of the American Disc Jockey Association, they provide an “Emergency DJ” hotline. We’ve never missed a performance, but you never know: it’s always better to be prepared.
If it is outdoors, do I need a tent?
Yes. Electronic equipment is expensive and can easily be damaged by rain, hot rays from the sun, tree dander, and even passing birds (yuck). If a tent is not an option – a gazebo, awning, or any other covered space will do just fine! The venue, caterer, or rental company should be able to supply extra shelter.
Do You Back up Your Equipment & Transportation?
I have extra equipment on site and I back up my music as well. Also, even though I have a newer vehicle, I have a towing policy in case of any road emergency. I will be at your wedding – even if I show up in a tow truck!
Will you MC my wedding as well?
We’re your master of ceremonies, which includes announcing introductions, dinner, dancing, and other important information that connects us with your guests. We Do You MC My Wedding As Well?speak clearly and concisely, and you will not hear any rambling or corny jokes.
What Is Your Attire?
I wear a very classy suit, otherwise a tuxedo for black tie affairs. I also will coordinate my suit tie to closely match the colors of your wedding.
Ok, What Hidden Fees or Extra Costs Will I Endure?
We do not charge for setting up or tearing down equipment, planning, preparations, or dance lighting effects. There are charges for traveling more than 100 miles and an overtime rate that we keep very affordable. We want you to have a good time, not break the bank!
So, How Much Time Do You Spend on My Wedding?
Even though your wedding may be scheduled between three to six hours, we spend anywhere from 15 to 20 hours on just one wedding! We do a lot of “behind the scenes” work, including visiting your venue and scripting your vision.
Can I See Your DJ in Action?
For professional reasons, we do not let potential clients crash a wedding to see us perform. We can, however, provide excellent references and contact information for brides, grooms, and vendors who rave about our DJ services.
Why Is Musiq Notes DJ’s Better Than the Majority of DJs out There?
A cheap DJ will not give you a well-coordinated, professional, or talented performance. Now, we’re not letting expensive DJs off the hook either. There are high-priced DJs with good sales pitches that you must be careful of as well. Are You Low-Key, Moderate, or High-Energy, & Can I Control What You Do?
We’re usually a little above the moderate level. You have complete control over your wedding and you won’t see any surprises from us.
Are You a Legitimate Company & Do You Have Insurance?
We have a business license and pay taxes within the limits of the law. We also carry liability and equipment insurance coverage.
